post Daddy Yankee Real Name is Raymond Ayala

October 12th, 2006

Filed under: Celebrity Real Name @ 4:50 pm

Celebrity Name : Daddy Yankee

Celebrity Real Name :Raymond Ayala

Date of Birth : February 3, 1977

Birth Location : Rio Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico

Biography :
Ayala (born on February 3, 1977 in Rio Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico), known publicly as Daddy Yankee, is a highly successful Puerto Rican reggaeton recording artist. He is sometimes referred to as El Cangri (shortened form of Cangrimán, which in turn is a corruption of the English word congressman, and used in Puerto Rico to describe a brazenly powerful or influential person in the neighborhood). Ayala is famous for recording songs in both English and Spanish, although the latter is more prominently used.
Ayala first became involved in recording music in the early 1990s alongside DJ Playero, a pioneer of reggaeton music. He rapped as a hobby, in private parties organized by friends in his neighborhood, the Villa Kennedy housing project in San Juan. At the time he was also involved in some minor illegal activities. By the time he reached the age of seventeen he was shot in his legs at a skirmish with rivals. This experience was an eye opener to him, and he swore off illegal activities for good (his brother Melvin became a born-again Christian -and eventually a Christian minister- at the insistence of Raymond, who persuaded him strongly enough to not follow a lifestyle similar to what he had experienced until then). He then pursued music as a full-time profession, and explored reggaeton as his main musical style at a time when straight rap and hip hop were the norm in Puerto Rico.[wikipedia]

post Claudette Colbert Real Name is Lily Chauchoin

Celebrity Name : Claudette Colbert

Celebrity Real Name : Lily Chauchoin

Date of Birth : September 13, 1903

Birth Location : Paris, France

Biography:
Born Lily Claudette Chauchoin in Paris, France, around 1905 her family emigrated to the United States and settled in New York City. She began acting in high school and a few years later in 1923 appeared on the Broadway stage in a bit part. Hooked, she gave up on her plans to be a fashion designer to instead pursue a career in acting. She made her first motion picture appearance in 1927, in For the Love of Mike, a silent film shot on location in Paramount Studios in New York, New York facilities. However, talking films were taking over and two years later, Colbert appeared in her first talking film, The Hole in the Wall, co-starring another newcomer, Edward G. Robinson .
Colbert married twice, first to Norman Foster (from 1928-1935 divorced) and then to Dr. Joel Pressman (1935 - his death 1968). She did not have children.
Career:
With her heart-shaped face, lively wide eyes, and aristocratic manner, Colbert transcended type, making her equally convincing in diverse roles. Her versatility led to major parts in top motion pictures and made her one of the biggest box-office stars of her time.
Colbert was a stickler for perfection regarding the way she appeared on screen. She believed that her face was difficult to light and photograph, and was obsessed with not showing her “bad” side, the right, to the camera. Scenes showing Colbert’s face from the right show she was equally lovely from that side, but such shots are hard to find.
In 1934 she won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role opposite Clark Gable in the Frank Capra film, It Happened One Night. Colbert epitomized witty sophistication when she starred in Preston Sturges’ classic screwball comedy, The Palm Beach Story, opposite Joel McCrea. From 1936 to 1944, she starred in numerous programs of Cecil B. DeMille’s Lux Radio Theater, which was one of the most popular dramatic radio shows at the time. In 1952, she returned to work in her native France where she stayed until 1955. [wikipedia]
